This seminar is not suitable for people trying the dance for the first time. Familiarity with the woman's cross, and the front and back ochos are assumed.
In this seminar, we teach the non-subjective parts of the Argentine tango dance using a structurally rooted, musically and technically solid approach to endless improvisation in which the roles and the expectations of the leader and the follower are articulated and practiced in total clarity, beyond vague and ambiguous ideas. Everything about leading and following is finally related to the music--Everything!
The Seminar is sure to engage your mind and your body; please come one time.​
Our seminar's musical focus is the Osvaldo Fresedo orchestra recordings, which spanned an amazing 8 decades 1910's-1980's. Fresedo created some of the most beautiful sounds ever in tango. He also pioneered into the tango many ideas and instruments that other orchestras and musicians adopted, making a monumental contribution to the way the Argentine tango music sounds and feels. We will have (the relatively rare) occasion to make a direct link between certain ideas in the music (of Fresedo) and certain parts in the dance.

Expect top-tier instruction by Fardad & Lucia Serry with 30 year experience, 25 years with Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, and an insane passion to see to it that you get the best chance to learn what you want to learn!

This Seminar is half-priced for dancers who register(ed) for our Labor Day Weekend Tango Program (also on our website tangoturns.com).
